Namibia 2005
These pictures were taken during a trip to Namibia in 2005. Namibia is a vast country, almost the size of Germany and France combined, with a population of only 1.8 million people. It took a lot of hours of driving to get around and see all the amazing sights it has to offer. We did a road trip which took us from Windhoek to Keetmanshop, Sesriem, Sossusvlei, Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Outjo and the Etosha National Park, travelling through both the Namib and Kalahari deserts. We also took a flight further north to visit one of the Himba villages, which was a fantastic experience.
Namibia might not be one of the most popular tourist destinations, but the diversity of it, even with so much of the land being desert, makes it a great place to visit. |
